Storac Energy Storage Redesign

Storac

Prolux Solutions' Storac AC 4/10 worked fine but looked like a switch cabinet: a dark front, one status LED, roughly the size of a large fridge. Alongside that ran an exploration of branding and logo placement for the new design.

Sketches and 2D explorations followed, twelve panel-split variants for the front, before the geometry settled on two symmetric panels standing proud of a dark housing. Inside, a steel frame, battery module, wiring and two perforated back panels hold it all together, and the exploded view is where the two-panel idea first started making structural sense.

A render explored the battery's flat side as household storage: shelves, a mirror, a coat hook. Worth trying, but the wrong scope for a battery redesign, so the brief pulled back to the two front panels. Four finishes got explored in the end, two of them built as physical 1:5 models, including a speckled composite panel with a green LED seam between the two fronts.
